  • An accessible area that serves the entire building is dedicated to the separation, collection and storage of materials for recycling including paper, corrugated cardboard, glass, plastics and metals
  • Developed and implemented a waste management plan to recycle and/or salvage a minimum of 25% of construction, demolition and land clearing waste
  • Used materials that can be recycled by the manufacturer into raw materials stream of another product and are recycled through a structured existing program
  • All installed glazing is impact resistant
  • Used a skilled pest control professional to develop an Integrated Pest Management Plan that monitors and prevents pest populations
  • Uses pesticides only “as needed”, selects the least hazardous pesticides for control of targeted pests and uses precision targeting of pesticides to areas not contacted or accessible to the occupants
  • All mechanical equipment pads are at least 12” above the 100 year flood plain or finished grade adjacent to building whichever is higher
  • Utilizes fire resistant exterior wall cladding, roof covering or subroof, soffit and vent materials
